Drive-over marker and warning light

The permanent drive-over marker and warning light with state-of-the-art LED technology!

We have developed a luminaire that covers a wide range of requirements. The main objective during development was to make it permanently traversable on roads, squares or in tunnels. It is also often used in the entrance zones of tunnels to improve the visibility of the roadway and at pedestrian crossings to increase safety. Last but not least, the equipment of traffic circle lighting (also for heavy traffic) is another area of application.

We based our development on the SN 640853 standard “Marking underfloor lights” with the following specifications and requirements:

• Permanently traversable marker light that covers the entire temperature range summer / winter (range: -30 to +75° C) and can withstand mechanical loads (40 t)
• For safety reasons (risk of slipping) matt, circular luminaire
• Protrusion over road surface max 4.0 mm
• Resistant to grit, spikes / snow chains and road cleaning
• Surface and light emission area are designed to minimize the build-up of dirt absolutely waterproof, frost-proof, resistant to UV sunlight / chemicals / oil and road salt
• Controlled by push-button, radar sensor, loop, vibration plate or via timer (e.g. for school buildings)
• Very good visibility in darkness, wet conditions and snow
• Other applications: e.g. lane marking

The TrafficLED system complies with current regulations (e.g. BAST Germany, ASTRA Switzerland, etc.) and is one of the few systems to be EMC-tested, i.e. the system is wired and not inductive, which reduces electromagnetic interference fields to a minimum.
