Description
The MarkLED EXIT combines two lighting systems for tunnel operational safety equipment. It is a combination of a marker light and escape route light. The marker luminaires (optical guidance system) are usually installed at intervals of 12.5 m or 25 m. The escape route luminaires are installed at a distance of 50 m. The MarkLED EXIT is therefore equipped with two separate lighting areas with the two different characteristics. In normal operation, only the part of the marker light (optical guidance system) is in operation. In the event of an incident, the EXIT section is switched on so that the escape route is sufficiently illuminated. The MarkLED EXIT also has a wide voltage range of 18 – 48 VDC. This means that lengths of up to 500 m are possible.
The current collector
It transfers the electrical energy from the two system cables to the luminaire module and provides it with a fixed mounting base. The cables do not have to be cut and therefore remain uninterrupted. On delivery, the luminaire module is already pre-assembled on the current collector.
- Mounting system cable in prepared groove
- Power transmission from the system cable to the luminaire module
- Mounting base for light module
- Integrated replaceable fusible links (miniature fuse 20×5 mm) for
- Safety separation in case of fire
The MarkLED EXIT system with functional integrity E30 / E60, tested in accordance with DIN EN 1363-1:2012-10 and based on DIN 4102-12.
The system cable
The luminaire system is connected via a double system cable with a cross-section of 2×2.5 mm2. This cable is embedded in a slot in the banquette for floor installation.
Controls
The new 4-channel controller is used to control the GIFAS control systems and can be integrated into existing control cabinets or installed “stand alone”. The EXIT section can be supplied directly via its own power supply unit, as it is operated at full brightness in the event of an incident and a controller makes little sense.
Accessories
Thanks to the wide range of accessories, different areas of application and complex customer requirements can be implemented.
Functionality
The MarkLED EXIT is a system that can be used in tunnels both as a guidance system and as actual escape route lighting. Corresponding sample installations have been created and tested in collaboration with FEDRO. Its use must be carefully examined for each project depending on the structural conditions.
